Schmincke LINO-CLEAN – cleaner for lino printing tools
Schmincke LINO-CLEAN is a fast-acting, water-based cleaner for lino printing. You can use it to remove printing ink from rubber rollers, printing plates, brushes and other tools, even when the ink has already dried. According to Schmincke, it is particularly effective on heavily soiled lino printing tools.
The cleaner contains alcohol, surfactants, additives and water. It is made in Germany. The 250 ml bottle is a good choice if you print regularly, for example in a studio or classroom.
Cleaning rollers, plates and brushes
Apply LINO-CLEAN directly to the soiled surface, leave it to work briefly and wipe off the ink residue with a cloth or paper towel. For particularly stubborn or dried-on residue, leave it to work a little longer. With rubber rollers, roll off the excess ink onto paper first, as this means you need less cleaner.
Tips for use
With brushes, dip only the bristles in, up to the ferrule, so that no cleaner seeps into the ferrule and the hairs do not swell. As the product contains alcohol, close the bottle tightly after use. Work away from sources of ignition and note the information below.
Which size to choose
LINO-CLEAN is available in two bottle sizes. The 250 ml bottle lasts longer if you print regularly or in groups, while the smaller 125 ml bottle is enough for occasional printing sessions.
