Wedo Comfortline Craft Scalpel – Soft Grip for Fine Cuts

The Wedo Comfortline craft scalpel is a scalpel with a soft-grip handle for fine cutting work in crafts, model making and creative projects. The stainless steel scalpel blade measures 40 × 8 mm and cuts up to 25 mm deep. You can cut paper and card out cleanly and make small cut-outs with precision.

The handle is triangular in shape with a velvety soft-grip surface that sits comfortably in the hand. At 155 mm long and 42 g, the scalpel is light and easy to control even over longer periods. Five spare blades are included, so you can carry straight on when the edge starts to dull. The protective cap covers the blade during storage and reduces the risk of injury.

Cutting cleanly

Always work on a cutting mat or another surface that will not dull the blade and that protects your table top. Make several light cuts rather than one heavy pull, especially with card and model-making materials: this keeps the cut edge smooth and stops the blade slipping. Always keep your free hand behind the direction of the cut. As soon as the blade starts to drag or tear the fibres, it is blunt and should be replaced. When you have finished, put the protective cap back on.
