Glorex Cutter pro Craft Knife – precise cuts for fine craft work

The Glorex Cutter pro craft knife is a pointed scalpel-style knife for accurate cuts in paper, card, film, foam sheet and fabric. At 150 mm long, it sits comfortably in the hand. The blade is replaceable, so when it loses its sharpness you do not have to replace the whole knife.

The fine tip suits small motifs, intricate ornaments and corners that scissors cannot reach. You can use the knife for model making, in the studio, in the workshop and for craft projects at school.

Cutting cleanly

Place the material on a cutting mat so that the blade does not touch the tabletop and the tip is protected. With card and foam sheet, it is better to cut in several light passes than with one heavy cut. This stops the blade slipping and keeps the edge smooth. Always cut away from yourself and keep your free hand clear of the cutting line. If the paper tears or the fabric frays, the blade is usually blunt or damaged. Replace it then.

What the knife is suited to

You will mainly need the tip for detailed work. For long straight cuts in thick material, guide the knife along a metal ruler.
