Royal Talens Sketch Book A4, 140 gsm, 80 Sheets

Royal Talens Sketch Book A4 – Hardback Sketchbook with Elastic Closure

The Royal Talens Sketch Book in A4 format is a sketchbook for drawings, designs and notes. It has 80 sheets of natural white, acid-free 140 g/m² paper. The paper is sturdy enough for pencil, charcoal, pastel and chalk, and also copes with light wet media such as ink or thin washes.

The hardback cover protects the pages in a rucksack or portfolio, and the elastic keeps the book closed. Choose your colour from the options.

What the paper is suited to

The fine-grained surface takes dry media well: pencil, charcoal, pastel and chalk hold on the page and can be smudged. You can also work with ink and lightly diluted washes. With a lot of water, paper of 140 g/m² soon starts to cockle, so for heavy watercolours it is better to use a heavier watercolour paper. Test wet techniques first on a page at the back of the book.

Handy on the move and in the studio

A4 offers enough room for full-page studies and is still easy to carry. Thanks to the binding, all your designs stay together in one book.
