Prym Professional dressmaking scissors 21 cm – clean fabric cuts with a soft grip

The Prym Professional dressmaking scissors (art. no. 611512), 21 cm long, are designed for accurate fabric cutting, from fine silk to thick wool. The stainless steel blades are matched to each other and cut cleanly without crushing or fraying the fabric.

The lower blade lies flat, so the fabric does not slip while you cut. The soft grip is designed for ergonomic working and helps you during longer cutting sessions.

Cutting tips

Lay the fabric flat on an even surface and let the lower blade rest on the tabletop. This keeps the fabric in position. Cut with long, even strokes and do not close the scissors fully to the tip, so the cut edge will be smoother and straighter. Use the scissors for fabric only, as paper and card dull the blades more quickly.

Which size to choose

The Professional dressmaking scissors are also available in 25 cm (9.5 inches). The 21 cm pair is the shorter one and sits more comfortably in the hand. If you often cut very long lengths of fabric, the larger pair may be more practical.
