The Gütermann sew-all thread set (art. no. 734578) contains 11 reels of sew-all thread, 100 m each, in assorted colours, a hand gauge and the Seam-fix mini seam ripper. You get sewing thread and two helpers for measuring and unpicking in a single set.

Sew-all thread is a 100 % polyester sewing thread for machine and hand sewing. It is intended for all fabrics and seams, such as joining, top-stitching, decorative, overlock and safety seams. The thread is tear-resistant and even, without thick or thin spots, so it runs smoothly through the machine. With a total of 1,100 m of thread, you can start several projects without needing to restock straight away.

Using the set

Measure hem widths and seam allowances with the hand gauge before you pin or sew. For machine sewing, universal needles NM 70–90 suit thread weight 100. Test the thread tension and stitch length on a scrap of fabric before sewing the actual seam.

Seam-fix mini: unpicking seams

The Seam-fix mini is a small seam ripper with a safety ball on the tip and a cap. Slide the tip under a stitch and cut through the thread. The ball protects the fabric as you do so. Afterwards, use the thread remover to clear any leftover thread from the seam. Put the cap back on for storage.
