UHU Express Wood Glue – fast-drying wood glue for interior use

UHU Express Wood Glue is a solvent-free glue for quick bonding and laminating of softwoods, hardwoods and exotic woods. It is dry after 4 minutes and then clear. The glue line is barely noticeable, and you can paint over it if needed.

The glue is moisture-resistant to EN 204 D2 and is therefore intended for interior use, for example doors and furniture in living spaces and offices. Besides wood, you can use it to bond insulation boards, chipboard, multiplex plywood, MDF, paper, card and hardboard over the full surface. It is also suitable for laminating veneer and rigid plastic sheets (HPL, Formica, Duropal, Resopal) onto wood surfaces.

Bonding wood with Express wood glue

The surfaces to be bonded should be dry and free from dust and grease, otherwise the glue will hold less well. Then proceed as follows:

• Apply the glue thinly and evenly to one or both parts with a brush or other tool.
• Press the parts together and hold them with a clamp or press until the glue has grabbed.
• Remove fresh glue residue immediately with water. Dried residue can only be removed mechanically.

What it is suitable for and what it is not

Because the glue dries quickly, you need to work swiftly. This helps with furniture making, woodworking projects and when sticking on veneer. The EN 204 D2 standard applies to interiors with occasional moisture. For garden furniture or other components used outdoors, choose a glue that is rated for that purpose. Close the bottle tightly after use. Store it in a dry, cool, frost-free place.
