The LAMY aion fountain pen in black with a medium nib is a cartridge-filled pen for handwriting. The body is made of anodised aluminium. It is brushed, satin-matt black and flows seamlessly into the grip section. The grip section is blasted, which creates a noticeable difference between the body and the grip zone. The series was designed by Jasper Morrison.

The stainless steel clip is spring-mounted and carries an embossed logo on the side. At 30 g the pen sits lightly in the hand, and the body measures 15 × 15 × 143 mm (W × H × L).

Filling and ink

With the aion, you simply push in the blue LAMY T 10 ink cartridge supplied and you can start writing straight away. If you would like to use ink from a bottle, you can add the LAMY Z 27 converter. It is not included, but it fits the filling system of this pen. This means you are not limited to cartridges when choosing your ink.

What does nib size M mean?

M stands for a medium nib width. The nib is made of polished stainless steel. A medium nib writes slightly wider than a fine (F) one and suits everyday notes and letters. If you write very small, a finer nib width is usually easier to read.
