Pelikan 4001 GTP/5 Large-Capacity Ink Cartridges, Royal Blue, Pack of 5

Pelikan 4001 GTP/5 ink cartridges – royal blue, erasable and washable

The Pelikan 4001 GTP/5 large-capacity ink cartridges in Königsblau (royal blue) are refill cartridges for cartridge fountain pens. According to Pelikan, they fit all Pelikan fountain pens with a cartridge system and many pens from other manufacturers. The box contains 5 cartridges, so you have a spare supply for changing.

According to Pelikan, the ink is erasable and washable. It gives an even ink flow, a strong, expressive line and bright colours. That makes it a standard ink for school, study and the desk.

Changing the cartridge and compatible pens

Large-capacity cartridges are bigger than the small standard cartridges and are not interchangeable with every pen. Before buying, check the instructions for your pen to see whether it takes large-capacity cartridges. To change the cartridge, unscrew the grip section, pull off the empty cartridge and press the new one firmly onto the spike, closed end first, until it sits securely. Hold the pen with the nib pointing down and let the ink flow briefly to the nib before you write.

Erasable ink: what it means for you

Erasable ink can be corrected with an ink eraser, which is handy at school or for drafts. For permanent documents, it is better to choose an ink intended for that purpose.
