Vlieseline H200 – light iron-on interfacing for fabrics and small parts
Vlieseline H200 from Freudenberg is a light, single-sided fusible interfacing made from 100% polyester. You use it to stabilise light fabrics and small garment parts such as collars or cuffs without making the fabric stiff. The interfacing is 90 cm wide.
At approx. 45 g/m², the H200 gives more shape retention than Vlieseline H180 while staying soft to the touch. It suits light fabrics such as cotton and polyester.
How to fuse the H200
The coated side is the adhesive side. Place it on the wrong side of the main fabric. Iron dry, without steam.
- Set the iron to the "wool" setting
- Press and glide slowly over each area 5–6 times
- The heat should act for about 8 seconds in total
- Leave fused pieces to cool flat for approx. 20 minutes so that the bond stabilises
Test first
Before first use, do an ironing test on a fabric scrap. This shows you whether the handle and bond suit your fabric before you fuse the cut piece.
