The LYKKE Indigo circular needle set has interchangeable wooden needle tips for knitting in the round and flat. It contains 12 needle sizes from US4 / 3.5 mm to US17 / 12 mm, five cables in three lengths, connectors, keys and stoppers. The tips are 5 inches (12.7 cm) long. Everything is stored in a purple needle case.

One set covers many needle sizes, from fine sock yarn projects to a thick hat, without having to buy a separate fixed circular needle for every size. You combine tips and cable to suit the project.

Combining tips and cables

Screw the needle tips onto the cable that suits your project. Use the keys to tighten the join so that it does not come undone while you knit. The three cable lengths make choosing easier: 60 cm suits smaller circumferences such as sleeves or hats, while 80 cm and 100 cm suit larger pieces such as jumpers or shawls. The two connectors join two cables into a longer one when a project needs more room.

What the stoppers are for

The stoppers screw onto the end of the cable in place of a needle tip. They keep your stitches secure, for example when you put a project on hold or want to park stitches for a while, and free up the tips for another project.

Choosing your needle size

Choose the needle size according to the tension given in your pattern. With sizes from 3.5 to 12 mm, the set covers many patterns, from fine to thick yarn. The 5 inch tips are the shorter tip length in the LYKKE sets, so they are easy to hold.
