Prym double-pointed knitting needles 6 mm – for projects knitted in the round

The Prym plastic double-pointed knitting needles in 6 mm come as a set of 5 needles, each with a point at both ends. You can use them for anything worked in the round, such as socks, hats or gloves. The surface is smooth yet grippy, and the grey colour makes the stitches easy to see. The needles are 20 cm long.

At 6 mm, the needles suit thicker yarns. According to Prym, they are intended for all knitting projects worked in the round.

Knitting with the set

Divide the stitches evenly across four needles, for example three or four, and knit with the fifth needle. The needles holding the round form a square. When changing from one needle to the next, pull the first stitch a little tighter so that no gaps or ladders form at the joins.

Choosing the needle size

This set is 6 mm. Prym offers the series in other sizes, up to 5.0 mm in aluminium and from 5.0 mm in grey plastic. For finer yarns choose a thinner needle, for very thick yarn a thicker one. What matters is the needle size given in your pattern.
