The Hardicraft knitting kit Tess the Bear contains yarn, a pattern and accessories for knitting an amigurumi bear approx. 36 cm tall. Only the knitting needles are down to you. Tess comes from Christel Krukkert's animal collection and stands out for her long arms and legs.

The yarn is marl, 50 g each in Lilac and Brown. The marl effect gives the knitted fabric a lively look. As the yarn, pattern and accessories all come together in the kit, you don't have to gather anything separately.

You get the marl yarn in two colours, the pattern, plus toy stuffing and safety eyes for the face. The pattern comes in four languages, so you can read it in English too.

Good to know before you start

Knitting needles are not included in the kit. The manufacturer gives 2.5 mm; what matters is the needle size in your pattern. For amigurumi you usually knit a little more tightly than for clothing, so that the stuffing doesn't show through the stitches later. Safety eyes are usually inserted before stuffing, because you can't secure them from the inside afterwards. Follow the steps in your pattern.
