With the Clover Pom-Pom Maker set of 4 (art. no. 3129), you can make even yarn pompoms for hats, scarves, home accessories or decorations. The set contains four pom-pom makers for pompoms of approx. Ø 35, 45, 65 and 85 mm. According to the manufacturer, these measurements describe the finished pompoms, not the tool itself.

There is a measuring scale on the arc. It helps you estimate the proportions of each colour when winding multicoloured pompoms.

Making a pompom

Wind the yarn evenly and tightly around the arcs. The more layers you wind, the fuller the pompom will be. Then cut the yarn in the middle between the arcs and tie the centre with a strong thread. Next, open the arcs, take out the pompom and trim it into a round shape. A centre thread that is knotted too loosely is the most common mistake: the pompom then sheds strands. So knot it as tightly as you can.

Which size should you choose?

The small sizes of approx. 35 and 45 mm suit details, small charms or decorative pompoms. With approx. 65 and 85 mm, you can make eye-catching pompoms, for example for hats, scarves or decorations. Clover also offers the sizes as separate sets of two sizes each. The set of 4 covers all four.
