Eucalan wool wash 100 ml – with lanolin for gentle hand washing

Eucalan wool wash is a detergent for hand washing knitted and crocheted items made from wool and other natural fibres. It contains lanolin, which conditions the fibre, and it is easy to measure: 1 teaspoon per 5 litres of lukewarm water. You do not need to rinse your washing.

Eucalan comes in different scents. Choose your scent from the options. The 100 ml bottle is a good size if you want to try the wash first or only wash the occasional item. For more frequent washing, Eucalan is also available in a 500 ml size.

Washing your knitwear

Wool is sensitive to sudden changes in temperature and to friction, and both can cause felting. Work gently and use water at an even temperature.

• Pour 5 litres of lukewarm water into a bowl and add 1 teaspoon of Eucalan.
• Place the item in the water and gently press it under until it is soaked through.
• Leave it to soak without rubbing or wringing.
• There is no need to rinse: lift the item out and gently press out the water.
• Roll it in a towel to remove more moisture, then leave it to dry flat, shaped to size.
