Prym transparent bra straps, 10 mm – for replacing and for bra making

With the transparent Prym bra straps (art. no. 991950) you can replace worn straps or sew your own bras. The straps are 10 mm wide, made of 100 % polyurethane and come with slider and hook already fitted. They can be washed at up to 40 °C. According to Prym, the straps are seamlessly made, so they are comfortable to wear, and have been tested for skin compatibility.

Transparent straps are less noticeable than coloured ones under clothing with a wide neckline or thin straps. You can therefore also use them when a bra needs less conspicuous straps for a particular top.

Replacing the straps

Carefully remove the old strap, for example with a seam ripper, and make a note of how it was attached to the cup and the back section. Attach the new strap in the same places and make sure it is not twisted. Then adjust the length using the slider and try the bra on. You will also need: needle and sewing thread, depending on how the strap is attached.
