Prym LED replacement bulb for sewing machines – 2.5 W with bayonet fitting

The Prym LED replacement bulb (art. no. 610376) replaces the incandescent bulb in sewing machines with a bayonet fitting. It uses just 2.5 W and replaces a 15 W incandescent bulb. At 210 lumens, it is bright enough to light your sewing area.

With 15,000 hours of operation, you will rarely need to change the bulb. The bulb is sold as a single piece. A screw-thread version is a separate item and does not fit a bayonet socket.

Will the bulb fit your sewing machine?

Check your machine's socket before buying: you can recognise a bayonet socket by the fact that the bulb is not screwed in, but pushed in and turned slightly. The voltage should also match, as the bulb is designed for 220–240 V. The safest way is to compare the base and specifications with your old bulb or with your machine's instruction manual.

How to change the bulb

Changing the bulb takes only a few minutes. The instruction manual for your sewing machine shows where the bulb is located.

• Switch off the machine and unplug it from the mains.
• Let the old bulb cool down if it was in use recently.
• Push the old bulb in slightly, turn it and remove it.
• Insert the new LED bulb, push it in and turn until it sits firmly.
• Reconnect the machine and test the light.
