Prym Velours-Elastic 25 mm in black – soft elastic for straps and facings

Prym Velours-Elastic (art. no. 953145) is a woven elastic with a soft side. You can use it to sew straps for bras and tops or as a facing. The elastic feels comfortable against the skin, keeps its shape when stretched and does not dig in. It is 25 mm wide, black and certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100.

It is supplied as a 1 m piece. For several straps or a longer facing, measure the total length you need beforehand and order the corresponding number of pieces.

Sewing tips

Place the soft side against the skin when you make straps or a facing. Sew with a zigzag or stretch stitch so that the seam gives with the elastic when stretched and the thread does not break. Test on an offcut first so you can set the stitch length and thread tension.

Prym Velours-Elastic is available in black and white and in various widths. This piece is 25 mm wide and black, which suits dark underwear and dark fabrics.
