Lang Yarns Linello is a summer yarn in 40% linen, 32% cotton and 28% viscose, suited to jumpers and other pieces for warm days. According to the manufacturer, the blend is breathable and intended for summer. Choose your colour from the options.

Each ball weighs 100 g and has a length of approx. 280 m. This makes it easy to plan the quantity for your project: the length per ball and the yarn requirements given in your pattern tell you how many balls you need. It knits up on 3.5–4 mm needles in a medium weight.

Quantities and working

Yarn requirements depend on the design. As approximate guides, the product description gives about 500 g for a men's jumper in size M, about 400 g for a women's jumper in size M and about 300 g for a 10-year-old child. At 100 g per ball, that is roughly 5, 4 and 3 balls respectively. It is wise to allow one extra ball and to buy the whole quantity in one go, preferably from the same dye lot, so that the colour stays even. What matters is the tension given in your pattern; the figure on the ball band is only a guide.

Care

For washing, Lang Yarns recommends a detergent for delicates without fabric softener. Leave the fabric softener in the cupboard so that the natural fibres keep their properties.
