Lang Yarns Wooladdicts HAPPINESS – soft Pima cotton yarn

HAPPINESS from the Wooladdicts range by Lang Yarns is a soft knitting yarn made from 65% cotton and 35% polyamide. The cotton is Pima cotton, which gives the yarn a particularly soft feel. The polyamide content adds stability to the knitted fabric. Each ball weighs 50 g and has a length of approx. 135 m, so you can plan the quantity for jumpers, waistcoats or accessories by weight.

It is knitted with 5–5.5 mm needles. Choose your colour from the options.

Quantity and yarn requirements

As a guide for jumpers: women's jumper size M approx. 350 g, men's jumper size M approx. 500 g and child's jumper (age 10) approx. 250 g. At 50 g per ball, that is about 7, 10 and 5 balls respectively. The actual amount depends on the design, the stitch pattern and how you knit. For longer sleeves or a roll neck, allow a little extra, and buy all the balls for a project together so the colour stays consistent.

Tension and needle size

The ball band gives 18 stitches and 26 rows over 10 × 10 cm, knitted on 5–5.5 mm needles. What matters is the tension given in your pattern; the figure on the ball band is only a guide. Knit a tension swatch before you start and measure it after blocking. If you have more stitches over 10 cm, use thicker needles; if you have fewer, use finer ones.
