Lang Yarns Wooladdicts PRIDE is a knitting yarn made from 40% linen, 32% cotton and 28% viscose. This blend of plant fibres makes the yarn breathable. It suits shawls, tops and other knitwear that shouldn't cling to the skin. Choose your colour from the options.

One ball weighs 100 g and has a length of approx. 280 m. Use the yardage to work out exactly how much you need: divide the metre figure in your pattern by 280 to get the number of balls.

What to use PRIDE for

Linen, cotton and viscose are plant fibres. Knitting made from them feels cooler than pure wool and is less elastic. That makes it a good choice for loose-fitting pieces such as shawls, tops, summer jumpers or accessories. For close-fitting garments, allow a little extra ease, as the yarn hardly springs back.

Tension and quantity

On 3.5–4 mm needles, the ball band gives 20 stitches and 30 rows over 10 × 10 cm. What matters is the tension given in your pattern; the figure on the ball band is only a guide. Because plant fibres can behave differently from wool when washed, it is worth washing your swatch before measuring it. If possible, buy the whole quantity at once so that all the balls come from the same dye lot.
