Lang Yarns Ananas – summer yarn made from pineapple fibre and lyocell

Lang Yarns Ananas (art. no. 1159) is a knitting and crochet yarn made from 70 % lyocell and 30 % pineapple fibre. The pineapple fibre is obtained from the leaves of the pineapple plant, which are a by-product of the harvest.

The yarn feels pleasant against the skin and is breathable. It is suitable for light summer clothing, such as a summer jumper, and for accessories, knitted or crocheted. For a women's jumper in size M, allow approximately 300 g, or about 6 balls. The quantity you actually need depends on the design, size and pattern.

Practical tip: knit a tension swatch before you start your project. What matters is the tension given in your pattern. The figure on the ball band of 20 stitches and 28 rows over 10 × 10 cm with 4–4.5 mm needles is only a guide. If you do not match the tension of your pattern, change the needle size.
