Olive two-way zip – open-ended, with plastic teeth

This olive two-way zip has plastic teeth and is open-ended. You can open it from the top and from the bottom, for example on jackets, waistcoats, coats, bags and outdoor clothing. You can also use it for repairs and your own sewing projects.

What two-way and open-ended mean

Two sliders run on the same row of teeth. This lets you open a jacket or coat at the bottom, for example when sitting down, and at the collar. Because the zip is open-ended, you can separate the two halves completely, for example when putting on or taking off a jacket.

Sewing it in

Choose a length that matches the opening you want to close.

• Pin or clip each half separately to the edge, so that the rows of teeth meet exactly.
• Sew close to the teeth using a zip foot.
• Close the zip before sewing on the second side and check that the hem and collar edge finish at the same height.
