YKK VISLON 80 cm Zip – Open-Ended, with Plastic Teeth for Jackets

The 80 cm YKK VISLON zip is an open-ended 1-way zip with 1 slider for jackets, ski suits and motorcycle clothing. The plastic teeth are injection-moulded firmly onto the tape. This makes it lighter than a metal zip of the same length, and it is corrosion-resistant.

Tape and teeth are colour-matched, so the zip does not stand out as a contrast on the jacket. Choose your colour from the options.

Sewing in the open-ended zip

Open-ended means that the two halves can be separated completely using the slider, as on the front of a jacket. You therefore sew each half to the edge separately.

• Fix the halves to the edge with pins or clips; both sides start at the same height.
• Sew close to the teeth using a zip foot.
• To check, close the zip: hem, collar and cross seams must meet exactly on the left and right.

Which length?

Measure the opening length of your garment along the finished edge and choose the length accordingly. The VISLON is also available in other lengths, for example 40, 65, 85, 90 and 95 cm. The 80 cm length suits long jackets and suits.
