The Kipferl embossed cookie cutter from Städter is made of stainless steel and measures 5.5 cm. You can use it to cut Kipferl (crescent biscuits) from dough, fondant or marzipan. The pre-embossed pattern gives the biscuits a design that is hard to reproduce as evenly by hand. The cutter can also be used for crafts and modelling with modelling clay, salt dough or FIMO.

Cutting tips

Roll out the dough to an even thickness so that the Kipferl bake at the same rate. Chilled dough cuts more cleanly. Dust the cutter lightly with flour or icing sugar, press it firmly and straight down into the dough, then lift it off. The outline is cut and the pre-embossed pattern shows in the dough. With sticky dough or marzipan, it helps to dust the cutter again from time to time.

Crafts and modelling

With modelling clay, salt dough or FIMO, you can cut out Kipferl for pendants, gift decorations or mini decorations. The cutting edge is sharp, so handle the cutter carefully when cleaning it and pushing the shapes out. Dry it thoroughly after washing.
