Städter Liquid Food Colouring Pink – Food Colouring to Add Drop by Drop

Städter's liquid pink food colouring tints cake batter, biscuits, creams, whipped cream, marzipan and drinks. According to Städter, it is highly concentrated, water-soluble and flavourless, and complies with food legislation. The 10 ml bottle dispenses drop by drop, so you control the intensity of the colour one drop at a time.

The colouring is not suitable for chocolate. It is water-based, and water usually makes melted chocolate seize.

How to dose the food colouring

Städter gives these guide amounts for a soft to delicate tint. For a stronger shade, add a few more drops as you wish.

• approx. 4 drops per 125 ml of clear liquid (water, sparkling wine or similar)
• approx. 8 drops per 125 ml of cream, added before whipping
• approx. 15 drops per 125 g of marzipan with approx. 60 g of icing sugar

Tip for use

Add the colouring drop by drop and stir well each time before adding more. This lets you judge the intensity before the shade becomes too strong. Once a mixture has been coloured too dark, the only way to lighten it is to add more uncoloured mixture.
