Glorex composite candle wax 1000 g – paraffin and stearin wax for candle making

Glorex composite wax is a ready-to-use wax blend of 80 % paraffin and 20 % stearin for making your own candles. There is no need to mix anything yourself: you can melt the wax straight away.

According to the manufacturer, the stearin keeps the candles white and improves burning performance and burn time. The wax is white and can be coloured with wax dyes or scented with fragrance oil. The 1000 g pack lets you plan several candles from a single pack.

Pouring candles with this wax

Melt the wax in a heat-resistant container in a water bath, and keep every drop of water away from the wax. Never heat it directly over a flame or on a hob, as liquid wax can ignite. If you like, colour the liquid wax with wax dyes and add the fragrance oil only afterwards. Hold the wick centrally in the mould and pour in the wax slowly.

Tip for preventing sink holes

As the wax cools it contracts, and a dip often forms around the wick. Set aside a little wax and top up the dip once the candle has set.
