Rainbow candle mould – two moulds for candles in two sizes

The Graine Créative rainbow candle mould (art. no. 140813) consists of two plastic moulds for casting your own rainbow candles from candle wax. Mould A measures 80 × 80 × 30 mm, mould B 110 × 140 × 30 mm. This lets you make a smaller candle for table decoration or as a small gift, and a larger one as a present.

Mould A takes about 150 g of wax, mould B about 350 g. Weigh the amount beforehand, so you don't have to guess.

Casting your rainbow candle

Place the mould on a flat surface covered with baking paper or aluminium foil to catch any wax splashes. Melt the candle wax in a water bath in an old pan that you no longer use for food. Follow the wax manufacturer's temperature instructions. Before pouring, secure the wick so that it sits in the centre. Then pour the wax slowly into the mould and let it cool completely before removing the candle. Wax shrinks as it cools, so a dip often forms around the wick. Keep some wax back and top it up. Trim the wick flush with the wax on the underside so that the candle stands level.
