Rayher decorative wax sheet Waves – decorating wax for candles

The Waves decorative wax sheet from Rayher measures 200 × 100 mm and is used to decorate candles. You press the pliable decorating wax onto unvarnished candles using the warmth of your hand. According to Rayher, it also sticks to plastic or glass, so you can use it for other craft projects too.

At 0.5 mm thick, the sheet is easy to cut. From one sheet you can cut several strips or shapes, for example for wavy bands, borders or small appliqués.

How to decorate a candle

Cut out the shape or strip you want, for instance with scissors, a sharp knife or a cookie cutter. The candle should be unvarnished, clean and dry. Warm the piece of wax briefly between your fingers until it is pliable, then press it gently onto the candle. Work quickly and with light pressure so that the thin wax does not tear or distort the outline.

Planning quantity and cutting

The sheet measures 200 × 100 mm. Before cutting, think about whether you need one long strip to go round the candle or several small pieces. You can keep offcuts for small accents.
