The Victorinox Rescue Tool MW is a large pocket knife with 13 functions, developed by Victorinox together with professional rescue workers. It has a seatbelt cutter, a glass breaker and a windscreen saw for laminated glass. All tools are designed for both right-handed and left-handed users.

The large blade has a serrated edge, locks open and can be operated one-handed. The handle is made of polyamide and is fluorescent yellow. A nylon pouch is included.

Rescue tools and everyday functions

The seatbelt cutter, glass breaker and windscreen saw for laminated glass are the three tools the Rescue Tool was developed for. In addition, there are the tools you would expect on a pocket knife of this size: bottle opener (locking), wire stripper, 7 mm screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver 1/2, reamer and punch, tweezers, toothpick, ring and lanyard. They also let you handle jobs in the workshop, around the house and during leisure time, such as opening bottles, stripping cables or turning screws.

At 111 mm long and 167 g, the knife is larger and heavier than a small pocket knife; the weight comes from the additional tools. The serrated edge of the blade bites well into tough, fibrous materials such as rope or cardboard. To close it, release the blade lock and keep your fingers out of the closing path.
