Victorinox Huntsman Lite Emergency Tool, 23 Functions

Victorinox Huntsman Lite Emergency Tool – Swiss Army Knife with LED, Whistle and Fire Steel

The Victorinox Huntsman Lite Emergency Tool (art. no. 1.7915.E808) is a Swiss Made pocket knife with 23 functions for the home, workshop and leisure. Alongside classics such as a blade, scissors, saw and screwdrivers, it also has an LED light, an emergency whistle and a fire steel with tinder.

The yellow handle glows in the dark. Glow-in-the-dark surfaces charge up in the light, so you can find the tool again more quickly during a power cut or in a dark toolbox. At 91 mm long and 122 g, it is compactly built.

What do the 23 functions include?

According to Victorinox, the following tools and features are included:

• Cutting: large and small blade, scissors, wood saw
• Opening: corkscrew, tin opener, bottle opener
• Screwdrivers: 2.5 mm, 3 mm, 6 mm and cross-head (Phillips 1/2)
• Other tools: wire stripper, reamer/punch/sewing awl, multipurpose hook, key ring, pin, tweezers, toothpick, pressurised ballpoint pen
• Emergency equipment: LED light, emergency whistle, fire steel with tinder (Helix Tinder)

What is the tool suited to?

For small repairs and everyday jobs: opening parcels, stripping wire, tightening screws, cutting string or fabric, opening bottles and tins. The scissors and saw cover many craft and garden tasks. Important to know: the blade does not lock, so for firm cutting you need a secure grip and should cut away from your body. If you are looking for a knife with a locking blade, this model is not the right choice.

The LED light, whistle and fire steel make it a useful addition to a first aid kit, toolbox or emergency supplies at home and for trips out. It is best to try out the light and fire steel outdoors once, at your leisure, so that you are familiar with the handling if you need them.
