Rayher silicone bowl mould, 11 cm – casting small decorative bowls with a perforated rim

The Rayher silicone bowl mould, 11 cm, with perforated rim (art. no. 36196000) makes small decorative bowls 11 cm in diameter and 6.5 cm high. You can fill it with creative concrete, creative concrete 5in1, jewellery concrete, Raysin casting powder or casting resin. The perforated rim can be wrapped and decorated with cord, string, raffia or wire. Corn husk rope, jute ribbon or dried flowers also suit a natural look.

According to Rayher, the silicone is extremely elastic and keeps its shape. Because it stretches, the hardened bowls come out of the mould easily. The mould is reusable and suits trinket dishes, gift ideas and natural decorations.

Casting the bowl

Place the mould on a flat, stable surface so that the bowl is an even thickness. Mix the casting compound following the instructions on the pack and pour it in slowly so that few air bubbles form. Let the compound harden completely before you demould. Then stretch the silicone slightly at the rim and ease the bowl out. After use, clean the mould with water and, if needed, a little washing-up liquid.

Which size?

With a diameter of 11 cm, this mould suits small bowls, for example as a trinket dish or tealight holder. For larger bowls, there is the version with perforated rim in Ø 18 cm and 6 cm height.
