Rayher silicone mould – cast candle holders for tealights and taper candles

With the Rayher silicone candle holder mould (art. no. 36124000), you can cast candle holders from creative concrete, Raysin casting powder or casting resin. The mould measures ø 52 mm × H 71 mm. The finished holder takes standard tealights 39 mm in diameter and taper candles 20 mm in diameter, so one mould is all you need for both types of candle.

According to Rayher, the silicone is extremely flexible and keeps its shape. This makes demoulding easier and means you can use the mould several times. It is designed for temperatures from -40 °C to +240 °C.

Casting a candle holder

Mix the casting compound as directed on the pack and fill the clean, dry mould. Tap the mould lightly on the work surface so that air bubbles rise to the top. Leave the compound to harden completely, then carefully release the holder from the flexible silicone. For one holder, Rayher gives a requirement of approx. 200 g of Raysin casting powder 200 or approx. 250 g of creative concrete. Once dry, you can decorate the holder with acrylic paints, Chalky chalk paints, Deco-Metall or marker pens. Clean the mould with water and a little washing-up liquid.

Important when inserting the candle

Before lighting, check that your candle sits firmly and straight in the holder. Once you have used a mould for concrete, Raysin or casting resin, do not use it for food again.

Never leave burning candles unattended. The cast candle holder is intended only for standard tealights (39 mm) and taper candles (20 mm).
