Rico Design book covering film – self-adhesive and clear

Rico Design self-adhesive book covering film protects the cover of a book and, being clear, is barely visible. The roll measures 2.0 × 0.45 m, which is 0.9 m². You cut the film to size and stick it directly onto the cover.

Because the film is transparent, the cover stays visible. This suits books with pictures or a printed title that you want to protect but not hide.

How to cover a book

First measure the book: the height plus a turn-in at the top and bottom must fit within the roll width of 45 cm. The length is the width of the opened book plus a turn-in at the sides. Cut the film generously and peel off the backing layer of the adhesive side bit by bit. Lay the film on from the centre of the cover and smooth it outwards with your hand or a soft cloth, so that no air bubbles or creases form. Fold the overhanging edges inwards. As self-adhesive film is hard to reposition, it is best to work on a clean, dust-free surface.
