PEBARO Solar Wooden Windmill Kit – Model Making with a Solar Motor

The PEBARO solar wooden windmill kit (art. no. 834/1) is a model kit made of untreated wood that slots together. You break the 34 pieces out of the boards and build a windmill with sails driven by a solar motor. It turns in the light, and you do not need a battery. The motor and assembly instructions are included in the kit.

PEBARO describes the kit as a gift idea that also helps develop dexterity. You get a finished model measuring approx. 8 × 12 × 21 cm, which you can colour after assembly.

Building the windmill

The wooden pieces come on three boards. Break them out, then slot them together following the enclosed instructions. Work step by step and break the pieces out carefully so that the tabs do not splinter. If needed, smooth any rough edges with fine sandpaper before you slot the pieces together. To power it, place the finished windmill in bright light, ideally in the sun.

Decorating after assembly

The wood is untreated and can be painted or decorated once the model is built. This gives your model its own colour scheme. When painting, make sure no paint gets into the motor or onto moving parts, so that the sails can keep turning freely.
