Rayher Mandala Embroidery Kit – with a hoop that stays on as a picture frame

The Rayher Mandala embroidery kit comes with a pre-printed mandala design that you stitch over with the threads supplied. Everything you need is included: embroidery hoop, needle, printed piece of fabric and five embroidery threads. According to the manufacturer, the kit is suitable for beginners, and the individual stitches are explained in the instructions.

As the design is already printed on, there is nothing to transfer and you simply follow the template as you stitch. Once finished, the round hoop stays in place as a picture frame around your finished piece, so you do not need an additional frame.

Making your mandala

Place the printed fabric in the hoop and pull it taut without distorting the design. Secure it with the tightening screw. Then stitch the design following the template, using the stitches from the instructions. When the picture is finished, trim the excess fabric, fold it over and glue it down at the edge. Rayher recommends fabric glue for this if needed.

Dimensions and care

The piece of fabric measures 20 × 20 cm and overlaps the 13.5 cm hoop all the way round, leaving enough fabric to fold over. The fabric and thread are made of polyester and can be hand washed according to the manufacturer.
