UHU Doppelband EXTREM – extra-strong mounting tape for indoors and outdoors

UHU Doppelband EXTREM (art. no. 46820) is an extra-strong, double-sided tape for mounting and fixing items on smooth and slightly rough surfaces. One roll is 19 mm wide and 1.5 m long and holds up to 120 kg. The tape is moisture-resistant and intended for indoor and outdoor use. You need no screws or wall plugs, and you don't have to drill any holes.

The tape reaches full strength after 60 minutes, so allow a little time before hanging or placing heavy objects on it. It is suitable for signs, house numbers, brackets, hooks, shelf elements, cable trunking, decorative mouldings and skirting boards or decorative objects.

How to stick it properly

Adhesion depends mainly on the surface, so work carefully.

• Make sure the surface and the object are clean, dry and free from dust and grease.
• Stick the tape onto the object, cut it to the right length and peel off the protective film.
• Position the object and press down firmly.
• Full strength is reached after 60 minutes; do not put any load on the object until then.

Where the tape is not suitable

The tape does not adhere reliably to siliconised and non-stick surfaces (e.g. Teflon) or to wallpaper. It is not suitable for mirrors and mirror glass; UHU Doppelband STARK is recommended for these. The 120 kg applies to a whole roll. The more adhesive surface you use on the object, the more securely it holds. For heavy or large items, therefore, spread the load over several bonding points and make sure the surface itself can bear the weight.
