Kryolan Artex – two-part silicone for 3D skin effects

Kryolan Artex is a two-part silicone that you can use to sculpt 3D skin effects such as wounds, scars, burns and veins directly on the skin. You can also use it to even out unwanted skin irregularities. The pack contains two components of 40 ml each.

Once set, Artex stays flexible on the skin and is easy to peel off. The silicone is odourless.

Working with Artex

Because it starts to set after only approx. 5–6 minutes, mix only as much as you can work within that time. After that, the effect can no longer be altered.

• Take equal parts of both components (1:1).
• Mix thoroughly and apply to the skin.
• Shape the effect straight away, for example wound edges, scar ridges or veins.
• Leave to set and do not alter it afterwards.

Colouring and finish

Once set, colour the silicone with any Kryolan grease paint or with Body Illustration Color. For a natural skin tone, mix some flocking into the silicone. To fix the effect and reduce its shine, finish by dusting it with powder. You can remove Artex simply by peeling it off.

Storage

Keep the containers tightly closed so that nothing dries out. Store Artex in a cool, dry place in its original container.
