Kryolan Liquid Latex – latex milk for small latex pieces and skin effects

Kryolan Liquid Latex (latex milk) is a pre-vulcanised liquid latex with a particularly low ammonia content. You can use it to form small latex pieces such as noses, chin pieces and bald caps, or to create effects for aged and injured skin. The latex is uncoloured and comes from the make-up range for theatre, film and fancy dress.

The low ammonia content makes the latex more pleasant to work with, as less odour rises from it. Choose your size from the options.

Working with latex milk

For skin effects, apply the latex in thin layers and let each layer dry before applying the next. This avoids a thick, sticky film. For aged skin, gently stretch the skin as the latex dries and then relax it: wrinkles form, which you can colour with make-up. Latex pieces such as noses, chin pieces or bald caps are built up layer by layer on a smooth mould. Apply with a sponge or a brush that you will no longer need for other colours, as latex clogs the bristles. Wash the brush out with soap and water straight after use.

Skin tolerance and storage

As the latex contains natural latex, test it on a small area of skin before first use. Do not apply it to eyebrows or heavily haired areas, as it bonds with the hairs when removed. Close the bottle tightly after use and store it frost-free.
