Rayher nylon thread 0.35 mm – barely visible for threading and hanging

Rayher nylon thread in 0.35 mm holds jewellery, bead animals and decorations together without drawing attention. The reel holds 50 m of transparent thread. According to Rayher, it has a breaking strength of 5 kg and a hanging load of 1 kg. This makes it safe to use for light threading projects and for hanging small decorations.

The 50 m is enough for several projects.

Which thickness suits your beads?

Choose the diameter to suit the hole in your beads. For threading work where you need to pass through the same bead several times, such as bead animals, the thread has to fit through the hole more than once. In that case, choose a thinner thread. Besides the 0.35 mm, Rayher nylon thread is also available in 0.30 mm with 55 m and in 0.50 mm with 25 m. The thicker thread can take more strain, but only fits through larger holes.

Tips for threading and hanging

Tie knots twice and pull them tight before cutting off the excess. When hanging items, treat the hanging load of 1 kg as the upper limit. For heavier pieces, plan on a thicker thread.
