Rayher silver crimp bead – for fixing clasps, beads and charms

The Rayher positioning bead is a round crimp bead (also called a stopper bead) in silver. You can use it to fix clasps, secure beads or hold charms in a set position on jewellery wire, nylon or jewellery thread. At 3.5 × 3 mm it is small and hardly noticeable on the finished piece of jewellery. The bag contains 10 pieces.

The material is metal. The bead is also available in gold; silver and gold differ only in colour.

Fitting the crimp bead

Thread wire, nylon or thread through the opening of the bead and slide it to the position you want. Squeeze it shut there with flat-nose pliers. The thread can then no longer slip. Test first on a piece of material to check that your wire or thread passes easily through the small opening. Also, do not squeeze too hard, as the bead may become misshapen.
