The Pracht lobster clasp is a jewellery clasp with an eyelet, made of 925 sterling silver. You use it for necklaces and bracelets that you make or repair yourself. It measures 13 mm and 1 piece is supplied.

The lobster clasp can be opened and closed with one hand. This is practical for necklaces that you put on yourself.

Using the lobster clasp

Attach the eyelet to one end of the chain with a jump ring. At the other end you need a counterpart, for example a jump ring or an extension chain, for the clasp to hook into. Open jump rings sideways with two pairs of pliers rather than pulling them apart outwards, so that they stay round and close cleanly. Before fitting, check that the chain and clasp suit each other: a 13 mm lobster clasp suits medium-weight chains better than very fine jewellery threads.
