BeadSmith Macramé Board – knotting board with grid and notches

The BeadSmith Macramé Board is a knotting board made of lightweight foam for macramé, Shamballa bracelets and other decorative knotwork. The printed grid works as a measuring guide, and notches help with guiding the cord.

The surface is smooth, so even fine silk and sturdy nylon do not catch. The foam is self-healing: pins do not damage the surface. This means you can fix your cords in place with pins and tie knots at even intervals.

Working with the board

Lay the core cords on the board and secure them with pins in the foam so they do not slip while you knot. Use the grid to line the cords up straight and check lengths and spacing without needing a separate ruler. The notches hold cords that you want to set aside briefly or guide. The board is also useful for practising new knots at your own pace before working them into a project.
