Rayher Metal Flexi Basket or Lampshade, 32 cm

Rayher Metal Flexi Basket – foldable basket or lampshade

The Rayher Metal Flexi Basket is a foldable basket made of black coated iron mesh. You can use it as a fruit basket or bowl, for storing wool, as a small waste paper bin or as a lampshade. The mesh can be bent into different shapes, so you can adapt the basket to your purpose.

Folded flat, it is only 2.5 cm high and can be stored without taking up much space. That is handy if you only need it from time to time or want to use it later.

Using the Flexi basket

As a basket, you stand it up and shape the mesh as you need it: Rayher suggests a fruit basket or bowl, storage for wool and a small waste paper bin. The basket is also suitable for decorating with natural materials or yarn, so you can wrap or embellish it. As for the shape: the further you pull the mesh apart, the flatter and wider the basket becomes, but the height decreases.

As a lampshade

Using the lampshade fitting ring with a diameter of 42 mm, you place the basket on a suitable lamp fitting. Rayher shows it together with the metal table lamp base 23101576 (E27). The mesh casts an open shadow pattern because it is not opaque. Choose the lampholder and bulb according to the information from the respective manufacturer.
