Efco 4-way straw splitter – splits straws into 4 strips of equal width

The Efco 4-way straw splitter splits straws lengthways into four strips of equal width. This is how you prepare the straw for straw stars and other Christmas decorations.

You pull the straw through the opening, and the built-in blade splits it lengthways as it passes. The width of the strips also depends on the straw: thicker straws give wider strips than thin ones.

Splitting the straws

Guide the straw into the opening of the splitter and pull it through evenly. The blade divides it lengthways into four strips. You can then use the strips for straw stars, for example. Work with one straw at a time and keep your fingers away from the blade.

4-way or 6-way?

The 4-way splitter gives wider strips than the 6-way splitter, which divides the straw into six thinner strips. For sturdier, wider straw ribbons, choose the 4-way version; for more delicate work, choose the 6-way version.
