How to prick

Colour in the design first, because once it has been pricked the card is perforated and harder to colour. Then place the sheet on a soft mat of felt or foam sheet and prick along the outlines with the pricking needle at short, even intervals. The closer together the holes are, the cleaner the design can be released at the end. Hold the finished picture up to the window: against the light, the holes show the pattern. Supervise younger children when they use the sharp needle.
