The Décopatch Mini Kit Dinosaur is a craft kit in which you cover a dinosaur figure with colourful paper and decorate it your own way. The set contains the figure to decorate, 2 sheets of Décopatch paper measuring 30 × 40 cm, a pot of glue and a brush. You can get started straight away. According to the manufacturer, the kit is a gift idea for children aged 5 and over.

The figure measures 17 × 5 × 10 cm, which makes it a manageable project for an afternoon. You cover it piece by piece and decide for yourself how colourful or uniform the dino looks in the end.

Covering the dino

The covering follows the Décopatch principle: the glue is brushed onto the surface, the piece of paper is laid on top and then brushed over with a second layer of glue. The glue dries transparent over the paper and holds the pieces in place.

• Tear or cut the paper into pieces of approx. 2 × 2 cm.
• Brush glue onto a small area of the figure.
• Lay a piece of paper on top and press it down.
• Brush a second layer of glue over it.
• Work piece by piece over the whole figure until it is covered all over.

Decorating tips

Torn paper has soft, frayed edges that are less noticeable than the straight edges of cut paper. Small pieces fit better around curves such as the tail, toes and head. Let the pieces overlap slightly at the edges so that no white areas of the figure show through. Contains small parts. Keep away from small children.
