Rayher papier-mâché advent calendar house with 24 drawers

Rayher advent calendar house – papier-mâché blank to paint and fill

The Rayher papier-mâché advent calendar “House” (art. no. 67341521) is an unpainted, house-shaped advent calendar for you to decorate and fill yourself. It has 24 drawers: 22 small ones for little treats and 2 larger ones for surprises that need more room. The surface is kraft/natural in colour, ready to be finished in your own style.

According to Rayher, the papier-mâché is made from FSC-certified wood from responsibly managed forests. At 36 cm wide and 40 cm high, the house is big enough to stand as a decoration on a chest of drawers or sideboard.

Decorating the calendar

Rayher suggests painting, embellishing and adding advent calendar numbers. The numbers are not included, so you will need to buy them separately. Light shades look paler on the brown kraft colour, so prime the surfaces in white first. Apply the paint thinly along the edges of the drawers so that they do not stick once dry.

• Paint the house and drawers as you like
• Sprinkle glitter into the wet paint if you wish
• Embellish once dry
• Attach the numbers from 1 to 24

What fits in the drawers?

The 22 small drawers measure approx. 5.3 × 5.3 × 5.3 cm and hold small gifts, messages or sweets. The 2 larger drawers, approx. 5.3 × 5.3 × 11.3 cm, take longer surprises. Only put in sweets and other food when they are wrapped, never loose in the untreated papier-mâché drawer.
