Proxxon NG 2/S power supply – 12 V DC for MICROMOT tools
The Proxxon MICROMOT power supply NG 2/S (art. no. 28706) supplies MICROMOT tools with 12 V DC from the mains socket. It delivers 2 A at 12 V operating voltage (16 V no-load voltage), which corresponds to 24 VA. The socket for the MICROMOT plug is reverse-polarity protected, so you cannot plug it in the wrong way round. A red LED shows that the power supply is ready for use.
The housing is made of NORYL, which is particularly heat-resistant and approved for transformers. The power supply is double insulated to Class 2. You can store bits and accessories in the holes in the housing, and the side rest bracket gives your MICROMOT tool a secure place when you put it down briefly.
NG 2/S or NG 2/E?
The NG 2/S is identical in construction to the NG 2/E (art. no. 28707), but has no electronic speed control. If your MICROMOT tool has no speed control of its own and you want to set the speed on the power supply, choose the NG 2/E. You need the NG 2/S if you run the tool without control on the power supply.
Overload protection and rest
The PTC overload protection switches off in the event of overload. So that a connected tool does not start up unexpectedly by itself, there is no automatic restart. Let the power supply cool down and briefly pull out the mains plug, and it will start up again. In between, you can rest the tool on the side rest bracket, and bits and other accessories are kept within easy reach in the holes in the housing.
