Efco aluminium wire ø 5 mm, 10 m / approx. 570 g, silver

Efco aluminium wire ø 5 mm – malleable craft wire for floristry and decorations

Efco aluminium wire is a 5 mm thick silver aluminium wire for floristry and craft projects. You bend it into shape by hand, and at 5 mm thick it keeps its shape afterwards. The reel is 10 m long and weighs approx. 570 g.

Aluminium does not rust, so you can also use the wire for outdoor decorations. If the bare surface looks too plain, cover it with knitted tubing or wind cord around it.

Working with the aluminium wire

At 5 mm thick, you can form arches, rings and frames by hand without tools. Shorten the wire beforehand with strong side cutters, as ordinary scissors cannot cut this thickness. The cut ends are sharp: after shortening, you can deburr them with a file or cover them when wrapping with cord or knitted tubing.
